Dreams

Last night, I had a strange dream. In it, I was at a swanky club with my friends. The music was blarring and it was a happening place to be. I was fit and much thinner. It certainly was an out of body experience. As I looked down at myself sitting at the table drinking a margarita I thought outloud (oh wow! I'm beautiful, I love those jeans on me...but I'm still fat in real life! Gosh, love dreams! ha ha ha) Anyhow, another voice piped up and said: look at her confidence. She is a sex goddess because she's confident and radiant! She's comfortable and she feels amazing. OKAY!? Got to hold on to that feeling. I want to just stay with this Kimmy forever.

Next thing you know, I ran into someone from my recent past. A much younger hot guy, I might add. He bought me a drink and I could feel my friends glaring at me. The "oh oh glare." Yep, puma Kimmy! A desperate housewife moment for sure. Hot guy was just telling me how he was missing my beautiful smile, funny sense of humour and my hot glow. Did he just say "hot" to me? To bad he has a nice new girlfriend. Yes, and too bad I'm maaaaarrrrr... Only to be busted up by my hubby's friend. "Hey! What are you doing here and standing so close to muscle man?" Funny! I was just going to ask you the same thing! "What are YOU doing here?" Now that you mention it, hot guy does have bulging biceps. I never noticed them before. Speaking of hot! Back to the fact that I am busted, but I look good even busted! Hot guy stays by me and stares defiantly at... Beep! Beep! Beep!...that damn morning alarm!

Throughout the entire dream I kept berating myself. Look at you! You glow! You are healthy and beautiful! This is you! The real you! So true! I awoke feeling confident, and trying to hold on to the goddess aura that had surrounded me in my dream. I realized it was the same energy I felt when I had lost my 100lbs. I clearly was dreaming of the old thinner Kimmy before my weight re-gain. That thought sent shivers down my spine and an overwhelming sense of sadness. How I miss that girl!
As Jillian Michaels has famously said: "The past does not define, you the present does." It is important, for me to quit looking back at this weight loss/gain as a failure. But, rather hold on to those feelings and the confidence of the inner goddess. That is the true test.

Talking the talk and walking the walk are two different entities. I often find myself thinking: "when I am thinner I will always make sure to exfoliate my skin, and never go out without make-up. Gone will be the stretchy pants and hello tight fitting jeans. How strange. Athletes who train do not tell themselves that they will eat properly once they are at olympic status. They do not start training once they are nationally recognized. Instead, they set the goal and work towards it EVERYDAY. With every new choice, with every sacrifice they are taking one step closer to their dream. They live in the dream in order to make it reality. They focus and visualise and bring their dream to fruition. The power unleashed is amazing.

This power can be released for whatever. For instance, Tiger Woods has this amazing virtue to visualize the exact shot he wants to make before he makes it. He focuses on the exact location he wishes the golf ball to go. Tiger Woods was not born with this gift. He worked at it. The same example can be used for so many other successful people of our world. The important thing to remember is that this gift is available to us all. Use it to improve your life. Life is a work in progress. Start living your dream life now and unleash the power to attract it to you today.

The same can be said for weight loss, and just simply being healthier. So this morning, I took a shower (a cold one :> ha ha ha), exfoliated my skin, I put on make-up and did my hair. I had to forgo the jeans *due to my hernia surgery but I put on my best stretch pants and a nice top. I did my hair. I felt awesome and focused on that goddess energy. I have drank four glasses of water, ate oatmeal with berries for breakfast and had a healthy omelet for lunch. I'm on a roll to goddess country.

The past is in the past. I can no longer berate myself for what ifs, and why. I can only move forward and focus on the future. That is the lesson I am taking from this dream. Live in the moment now, surround myself with the aura of who I am, and live the dream today. Quit living in the past and focus on the future of your dreams!

(If I run into hot guy...I'll keep you posted ;>)

I received an email inquiry from a woman who hadn't lost yet ten pounds so my 10 lb potato bag trick wouldn't apply. Another trick is butter. For instance, today I stepped on the scale and I'm 1/2 pound down. May seem discouraging. So I pull out my pound of butter, I lost half of that! Yes! At least my weight loss is on the right path. Even .5 lb is quite alot when you look at it that way. So count your 1/2 lbs and 1 lbs of butter! It all adds up or down rather. ;)

So yeah, another half pound gone (for good). Pretty good considering I haven't been getting all my water in. I have been averaging about 8 glasses a day. So hard to reach that 12 glass target. I have to make more of an effort in that department. I truly know that when I consume all my water, it's easy for my body to flush away the toxins, and fat. When fat is oxidized (burned) and consumed into energy, a waste product is produced that must be flushed from the body to maintain proper health and continue with the fat loss performance. Water essentially helps my body function better. Those who retain excess water are people who simply don't drink enough water. When the body doesn't receive enough water, it goes into a survival mode and responds by storing water resulting in weight gain or bloating. When I drink more water, I have more energy and I am feel more full...so it keeps me from eating and keeps me active at the same time.
Water is absolutely essential to weight loss! There is NO way around it.
Here are some tricks I use to help get my water in:

I drink a glass first thing in the morning (before my coffee). It's a great wake-up for your body.

I drink a glass before lunch and dinner

I drink one glass before going to bed

When I'm working-out...I always consume at least 2 glasses during my work-out (that's 500ml) and one post work-out

That's seven glasses right there! The other five I have to get in between.
I always carry a water bottle with me wherever I go. I also always have water bottles in my fridge ready to go.
Once you get in the habit, water becomes part of your daily ritual. You will find that when you don't drink your water...you will feel blah.

Another thing I must do, I have been saying this for quite some time; My vision board. I read "The Secret", I watched "The Secret", and I read many other books on manifesting abundance. What do I have to say about it? Well, I truly believe that we have the power to manifest whatever we wish and desire. The Law of Attraction is a powerful tool we bear. It's not only about having material desires. It's more about living the life you always dreamed of. Living your best life. Being the best you were meant to be. Embracing your magnificence NOW. Most importantly, it's more than just ASK, BELIEVE AND RECEIVE.
In my opinion, first and foremost, your desire has to come from a place of love. That deep within feeling of love. Love is essentially the highest frequency we can emit. The more love, the more power! Kryon said : "When you call upon the love of God and exercise pure intent, there will be miracles." So anything else, just won't be as mighty. So your desire has to come from a good place and be for a good reason. Like when you are praying for someone to re-cover from an illness. That is a great example. If you pour love into the prayer; it makes it that much more powerful. Not to say that God doesn't listen to all our prayers. As a matter of fact, it's like saying Thank you...and really meaning it. There is a difference between a 'thanks' and a "oh...thank you, I appreciate this so very much". Emotion is a very powerful tool!

The second loop hole is letting go. "Let Go and Let God" This is really the hard part. There is an ancient saying; "if you hang on to your desire, it makes it difficult for the angels to take your prayer up to the heaven's." Why? Because you are hanging on to it...lol By letting go, you are allowing the Universe to take over and make magic happen! Release! Release! Release!

Thirdly, take action! For example, you can't sit on the couch, eating away to oblivion and expect to lose weight. You got to help the universe along. Work at it. Live it and dream it.
Four years ago, a friend of mine told me a little ritual she performs every New Years Day. In a quiet moment, she jots down ten goals or desires for the year. She then gives thanks for the year past and is grateful for the year ahead. She then burns the paper and releases the 'prayer'. She proceeded to tell me the power of this ritual and how it brought much abundance into her life in all ways and forms.. On New Years Day in 2004, I gave it a shot. What did I have to lose? Over the course of the year, I forgot about my list. I mostly forgot what I had put down on my list. That is my memory; great for releasing and letting go! lol
Anyhow, over the course of a couple of years, I slowly realized that all my list had come to fruition. Like magic! It wasn't until I had the item or desire that it would hit me: "wow...this was on my list!". AMAZING!

Okay! Back to the vision board. So essentially * a vision board is a board. :) On it, you can put photos, mantra's quotes...anything you desire. Another good friend of mine recently was telling me how she had manifested everything on her vision board. It was time for her to refill the board so to speak! Wow!
My vision board...when I finally get to it will surely have many fitness mantra's, my perfect body ect.....:) I'll post a photo as soon as I get it completed!

To everyone, I leave you today with this...we are in the midst of a glorious time. It is now or never! Get off the couch! Live your best life...what are you waiting for?

Love,
Kimmy

Important feedback...

So the other day I sent my blog to someone to proof read it and this is what I got back in return:
(apparently I shouldn't be calling myself: fatty or fat)

"Since I started reading The Secret and a message from Kryon, I realized that my own thinking and visualizing me as fat, as made me worst. So now, I try to think, feel and see myself and what it would be like to be the shape I want and deserve. It's not easy to keep that picture and thoughts with what I'm going through, but I noticed that my body is starting to shape up. Plus, I'm talking to my cells. Apparently, as per Kryon, if you take charge and tell them what you want they will start to listen and follow directions. We gave them free rains all our lives. It will take time to get the control back but when I talk to them, as a whole, I can see them stop and listen, some try to sneak out and ignore me but I can also see it and tell them to pay attention. It's so funny and weird. You are giving me the incentive to work at it harder." Louise

In retrospective, I won't be calling myself "fatty" or 'fat' anymore during my work-out sessions. But, I've yet to come up with an alternative to motivate me. "Come on skinny minny...!!!!" Just doesn't cut-it. I will think about it. However, I do know that Louise is right. Mind over matter! The mind is a powerful tool and visualizing something actually can help manifest. So I will work on seeing myself thinner, and fit.
Nevertheless, I guess I had to much time to think last training session because today my trainer kicked butt and I HAD NO TIME TO BREATHE LET ALONE THINK! Damn...he must be reading my blog!
Tonight was tough, but I know nothing will come of it otherwise. He is only trying to help! Right?! But, I survived; barely. When I'm at the gym, I feel so old and out of shape. Seriously, I look at those young girls casually working out in their tight work-out clothes, and I think...ummm....that could be me?! I suck it up. I must. This is the road I chose, one step at a time one training session at a time. I do think that I will try to add one yoga class in there. Yoga is great for the mind/body/soul connection. Plus, it's great for toning your muscles, relieving stress and compliments my training sessions well. Just where to find the time?
Earlier I went to get my haircut and my stylist noticed something different about me; "ummm...something is changed, your energy, your face, a good change, ummm...did you lose some weight?" BINGO! It's starting to show! I do feel differently. I feel so good! The pain, the frustration, it's worth it!
I've worked really hard in the last few weeks, so I feel that I will reward myself with a pedicure/manicure. I'm looking forward to it...it's been a good four weeks of training!
